About This Course

The Cyber Security Analyst Program is designed to equip students or professionals with the foundational and advanced skills necessary to identify, assess, and respond to cyber threats in today’s digital landscape. The program combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on training to prepare participants for real-world security challenges in various industries

To prepare individuals for employment as Cyber Security Analyst, Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, Information Security Analyst, Threat Intelligence Analyst, Incident Response Specialist and IT Security Specialist.

Core Technical Skills

 

  1. Operating System Security (Windows/Linux)

    • Understanding Windows OS security baselines, Zero Trust, credential protection, BitLocker, and TPM.

    • Ability to troubleshoot Windows clients, Active Directory, and Group Policy for security configurations.

  2. Identity & Access Management

    • Skills in Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and single sign-on (SSO) to control access.

  3. Threat Detection & Incident Response

    • Use of Sysinternals tools (e.g., Sysmon, Procmon, Autoruns) for malware and intrusion detection.

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender and attack surface reduction (ASR) policies.

  4. Scripting & Automation

    • Proficiency in PowerShell for automating system audits, log collection, and remediation scripts.

  5. Networking & Protocol Security

    • Ability to secure and troubleshoot network paths, VPNs, DNS security, and firewall configurations.
