This course prepares students to learn the real-world in Data Center Virtualization. It will also provide students with a fundamental understanding of VMware’s Data Center Virtualization products. The VCP-DCV 2020 certification validates candidate skills to implement, manage, and troubleshoot a vSphere V6.7 infrastructure, using best practices to provide a powerful, flexible, and secure foundation for business agility that can accelerate the transformation to cloud computing. Students will also understand how VMware’s products help solve business and technical challenges with regard to Data Center Virtualization.


This instructor-led course is  designed to provide an essential foundation in virtualization. Students will learn about the basic concepts and components which will allow them to install, configure, and manage a virtualized server environment in a simple configuration. Students will also learn the basic understanding of virtualization, Configuring and Managing Virtual Networks and how to apply those technologies to real business challenges..

    • Describe the vCenter Server architecture
    • Configure virtual switch security, traffic-shaping and load-balancing policies
    • Identify the advantages of ESXi Quick Boot
    • Create a vCenter Server Appliance backup schedule
    • Discuss ESXi hosts using iSCSI, NFS, and Fibre Channel storage
    • Use vSphere Update Manager to manage the patching of ESXi, virtual machines, and vApps
    • Explain how multipathing works with iSCSI, NFS, and Fibre Channel storage
